Assistant to the Managing Director wanted at The Miniature Theatre of Chester, in Chester Massachusetts. MTC is a non-profit professional equity company operating in the Berkshire Mountains of Western Massachusetts (Chester is approx. 45 minutes from Northampton, 30 minutes from Westfield, and 45 minutes from Pittsfield).

The Internship includes a full summer season of producing four plays, as well as any additional events, benefits, etc. The Intern will be involved in all areas of Marketing, Development, Fundraising, Grant Writing, business and office work. There are also many opportunities in Company Management, Box Office and Database Management.

This Internship is very flexible and offers a wide variety of experience that can be tailored to your specific interests and goals. You can decide which areas of Arts Administration you would like to have as your focus, or you can try them all.

The position has no stipend, however interns in the past have applied for and received credit at their university or college for the work completed at the theatre company.
